Hello, I’m Kostas, the filmmaker behind Cinema of Poetry.
Cinema, music, and poetry have always shaped the way I see the world. From writing poetry and playing guitar in my youth to studying science and exploring life beyond the office, my creative path has led me here, documenting love through film.
Today, I am a destination wedding filmmaker, based in Greece, working across Europe and worldwide. My approach follows the story, the people, and the emotions that make each celebration impossible to replicate. I don’t just record your day, I craft a film that reflects who you are and what brought you together.
Over the years, my films have been recognised internationally, including distinctions such as Best Wedding Film in Europe and Best International Wedding Filmmaker. Each one is a reminder of why this work matters and why I approach every film with the same care.

A meaningful wedding film begins with trust. Not only trust in experience or craft, but trust at a human level, the kind that allows people to be present, open, and themselves.
Before filming anything, I take the time to understand who you are, how you relate to one another, and what makes your connection unique. That understanding is what allows a film to feel genuinely personal rather than simply well-made.
This shared understanding creates an honest, collaborative relationship. It allows your film to be shaped around who you truly are, resulting in something that feels personal and deeply resonant.

When we work together, I become part of your day, observing quietly, responding intuitively, and allowing moments to unfold naturally.
With over a decade of experience documenting destination weddings and elopements around the world, I bring a cinematic eye and a calm, unobtrusive presence. From reading light and movement to collaborating closely with planners and photographers, my role is to make the experience feel effortless so that you can stay fully present.
Every couple is different. Each film is approached from scratch, shaped around your story rather than built around a formula.

Storytelling
Every film I create is guided by narrative, not a script, but a rhythm shaped by real moments, subtle gestures, and the natural progression of the day. I’m drawn to the spaces in between: the pauses, the glances, the quiet intensity that often says more than words.
Authenticity
I believe the strongest films come from truth. No staging, no forced emotion, no borrowed narratives. Just space for your story to exist as it is, without trying to reshape it into something else, so that what remains feels honest over time.

"There are a million decisions to make about your wedding day but fortunately this one doesn’t have to be! Reaching out to Kostas was the best decision we made for the most important day of our lives, and I hope you will too.
Firstly, I am not comfortable at all in front of a camera, my wife is a bit more than me, but it isn't typically either of our happy places. Almost immediately Kostas had us at ease, zipping us around Santorini with him and his assistant, feeling like we were catching up with old friends we've known our entire lives. I knew the video would be amazing, but what I didn’t know beforehand was what an enjoyable experience it would be. And, what he was able to capture in film continues to blow us away every time we watch it. I’m completely confident that 30 years from now I’ll still be able to be transported back to these magic moments just from watching the short film.
The film, ineffable, so hard to describe its value with written words, it is art at its highest level. He so perfectly captured us and our love story in a way that I did not know was possible. The format, the shots, the audio choices, and the syncing of music to film all come together in the most beautiful way. Where descriptive words fail anecdotes often work better so I’ll leave you with this one. Have I made it through the video without tearing up, from the overwhelming emotion that it elicits, in over a dozen viewings? I haven’t yet and I don’t expect that I ever will-and I love that!"

"I found Kostas through Instagram; it didn't take more than watching a single one of his videos to know that his creations were unlike any other. Kostas is heart-centered and therefore, he approaches his craft with emotion and deep intention. He asked for a pre-interview with us so he could get to know us. Details that we shared on that day (years before our wedding, due to the pandemic) were ultimately woven into the video and his recent blogpost - what does that tell me? It tells me that he listens carefully and pays close attention to detail - attributes that undoubtedly shine through his work.
In addition to the spectacular visuals, Kostas captures and incorporates all of the sounds that you want to remember - for example, the traditional acoustic music, the occasional banter and laughs, loud frogs in the quarry - audio details that take you back to the day. Again, this is all in addition to how he uses natural lighting, his exceptional equipment, and the landscape to present you at your best.
What meant the most to us was that Kostas incorporates storytelling, symbolism, and poetic tie-ins. I honestly can say that our video beautifully represents my husband and I as a unit, separately as individuals, and the community we've built. In the few interactions we had, Kostas was able to piece this all together and create a work of art that we will treasure forever.
