Some love stories don’t need an audience — only a horizon.
This bohemian Morocco desert elopement unfolded in the quiet landscapes of Agafay, just outside Marrakech, where earth tones, wind, and golden light created the perfect setting for an intimate symbolic ceremony.
They met through friends. A year later, they understood they were meant to be together.
After navigating a long-distance relationship and three years of growth, distance, and devotion, they chose to celebrate their love far from home — traveling from the south of Portugal to the desert of Marrakech for an elopement that felt entirely their own.
This was not about tradition. It was about intention.
Her airy bridal gown by Alexia Kirmitsi moved effortlessly with the desert breeze — soft, romantic, and luminous against the muted tones of Agafay. A crown of deep red dried florals added contrast and character.
Rory embraced a relaxed yet refined look: linen shirt, scarf, and all-stars — perfectly aligned with the spirit of the day.
The ceremony unfolded at Yes We Camps, a secluded desert retreat, beautifully styled by the team of Riad al Loune. A triangular floral arch, Moroccan red carpet, sculptural bouquets of white roses, and even a dromedary camel framed the symbolic vows.
Minimal. Intentional. Atmospheric.
Following the ceremony, the desert slowed everything down.
Tea beneath a tent.
A camel ride across the dunes.
The sun sinking quietly behind rolling hills.
There was no rush — only space to breathe, to feel, and to exist within the moment.
