Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
"Sonnet 116" - W. Shakespeare

Some weddings unfold over a single day, others become something closer to a journey.
Elizabeth and Huw’s luxury wedding at Villa Astor on the Amalfi Coast was part of a three-day celebration shaped by travel, fashion, and a shared connection to place. Having built their relationship across different countries and cultures, they wanted their wedding to feel less like a single event and more like an experience to be lived with the people closest to them.
The Amalfi Coast became the natural setting for that vision.

The celebration began with a welcome dinner at Conca del Sogno in Massa Lubrense.
Set directly above the sea, the evening carried a relaxed but vibrant energy, friends and family gathering over food, music, and long conversations. A sudden summer storm briefly interrupted the night, but instead of breaking the atmosphere, it became part of it, guests continuing the celebration under white umbrellas, turning an unexpected moment into something memorable.
This sense of spontaneity stayed present throughout the days that followed.

The wedding day unfolded at Villa Astor, a historic private residence in Sorrento overlooking the sea.
From the beginning, the intention was not to confine the celebration to a single space. Guests moved through the villa as the day progressed, discovering different atmospheres, from the interiors to the gardens, from quieter moments to more collective ones. This movement allowed the experience to evolve gradually, following its own natural pace.
The first look took place inside the villa, surrounded by close family, an intimate moment before the energy of the day expanded.
Villa Astor offers a very distinct atmosphere compared to other locations in the region, combining historic character with a more private and fluid use of space. The ceremony took place along the central pathway of the garden, transformed into a long aisle surrounded by flowers and greenery.
There was something almost architectural in the way it was designed, reminiscent of a runway, a subtle reflection of Elizabeth’s background in fashion, but without ever losing its emotional weight.
As vows were exchanged and with the reading of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116, the moment felt both structured and deeply personal. The balance between aesthetic precision and genuine emotion defined the tone of the entire day.

Following the ceremony, the celebration opened into the gardens overlooking Marina Grande.
A long table was set for dinner, allowing everyone to gather in a shared space before the atmosphere gradually shifted into celebration. Music, movement, and energy built naturally, moving from an elegant dinner into a lively outdoor party.
Later in the night, the celebration continued inside the villa, where the atmosphere became more informal, with music, dancing, and the simple pleasure of sharing food together.
This balance between refinement and spontaneity is often what defines a luxury wedding on the Amalfi Coast, where the setting is iconic, but the experience remains grounded in the people.

The day after the wedding, the celebration extended into the sea.
Guests gathered in Sorrento before departing by boat along the Amalfi Coast, eventually arriving in Positano for a beach day at Arienzo Beach Club. The tone shifted once again, more relaxed, more playful, yet still connected to everything that had come before.
Swimming, music, and time shared together closed the experience, not as a conclusion, but as a continuation of what the wedding had already created.

My approach remains focused on the story of the couple, with the visuals supporting rather than defining it. In this context, Villa Astor in Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, and the different locations of the celebration add texture and atmosphere, while the narrative stays grounded in the people at the center.
This is what allows even a setting as iconic as the Amalfi Coast to feel personal.
